I don't have a favorite fair trade chocolate, because it is really hard to find in my area. :( I love you started this new blog, though! We are able to get fair trade coffee, but I wish I could find good fair trade chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI liked the facebook page.

I love Divine chocolate. Love the packaging and the Adinkra symbols and the fact that it's owned by the farmers.
ReplyDeleteI also like Endangered Species chocolate, mostly for the animal facts on the inside and the beautiful animal photos on the front.

I don't have a favorite yet, as it is not so easy to find fair trade chocolate where I live, and when I do find it, it is always quite expensive. I have seen Green & Black's though and have always wanted to try.
ReplyDeleteI luv the Equal Exchange Organic Dark Chocolate with Almonds bar

I would love to try the Dark Chocolate with Creamy Caramel bar. It sounds soooo good!
ReplyDeletechoateorama(at)gmail(dot)com
Well, I already commented elsewhere about G&B, and that was my first thought for commenting. Otherwise I would say that one of my favorites is the Endangered Species Bar. I like that they use beet sugar (and I believe it's unfiltered). My favorite is the Wolf Bar. The Sjaaks brand is SUPER yummy, but I wish I felt like the sweetener was more healthy.
ReplyDeleteEqual Exchange Organic Dark Chocolate with Almonds bar is my fave
ReplyDeleteThe only one of these bars I've tried is the one with chili in it. It sounded like such an unlikely combination that I had to try it. It might have been unlikely, but it was an amazingly good combination. I'd really like to try the other flavors, too.

Entry 1: My favorite fair trade chocolate is the Trader Joe's Swiss Dark Chocolate. I also really like the Chocolove certified organic 73% cocoa (http://www.chocolove.com/organic73.htm), but they aren't fair trade, though they seem to have a legitimate explanation: http://www.chocolove.com/faq_child_labor.htm. Your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteEntry 2: I "liked" your page (and this post) on facebook! I think I'm starting a dark chocolate addiction, so I hope I win this :-)
ReplyDeleteI love green and blacks chocolates, the hazelnut and current is my favorite. They also have a great chocolate swirl shortbread recipe on their site. kcarlson1152[at]hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have tried several brands of fair trade chocolate, and always feel a little better about eating something that gives full value to those who produce it.
